Kevin J. Scanlon is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at the National Institute of Cellular Biotechnology (NICB) in Dublin, Ireland since 2000.

This is the first Biotechnology Center in Europe that integrates the pharmaceutical industry and the academic community with the strong financial support of the Irish government. The NICB has been an effective model for other European and Asian countries to emulate. The NICB is a multidisciplinary center of research in fundamental and applied Cellular Biotechnology, Molecular Cell Biology and Biological Chemistry. It includes a multidisciplinary team of Cell and Molecular Biologists, Biotechnologists. The institute draws from the established expertise of researchers in Dublin City University, IT Tallaght and NUI Maynooth with the aim to be a Center of world-class expertise, in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology, in the discovery of novel molecules with Biological applications and in related areas including Bio-computing, Bio-ethics, and Science Communication.

Kevin J. Scanlon is a member of the Faculty Advisory Board, Dublin City University since 2006.

Kevin J. Scanlon is Vice Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board on the Molecular Therapeutics for Cancer Program. He has been a member since 2009.
