Kevin J. Scanlon is a member of the Presidential Advisory Board at the University of Southern California.

Kevin J. Scanlon is a member of the Advisory Board for the Business Technology Center (BTC) of Los Angeles County.

The BTC is the largest technology incubator in California. This Center is a business innovation center with a mission of assisting start-up and early stage technology firms grow and prosper. Opened in October 1998, the BTC is a 40,000 square foot facility with a state-of-the-art communication infrastructure. The BTC offers key support services, including access to capital, business consulting, and mentoring from an Advisory Committee that has a wide range of skills, experience and contacts in Southern California. It is located just 2 miles from the world famous Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, the BTC currently houses 30 high technology tenants with specialties ranging from software development to commercializing federal lab technology. BTC firms have raised over $50 million from angel and venture capital investors
